AI computing company NVIDIA Customer Story for SAP Revenue Accounting Solution by Bramasol

Founded in 1993, NVIDIA is an AI computing company. The company is an inventor of the GPU, which creates interactive graphics on laptops, workstations, mobile devices, notebooks, PCs, and more. Its invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics and revolutionized parallel computing.

Objective

Nvidia had to be compliant with new revenue recognition standard (ASC 606) and restructure their sales model within SAP.

Key Challenges

  • Disclosure reporting needed to be implemented quickly and effectively

  • Vistex (tool which handles rebates along with SAP-SD) had not been interfaced with RAR previously

  • No profitability reports from CO-PA by RAR Contract, POB or POB Type

  • Call-off order functionality was not part of RAR 1.3, SP02/SP03 system

  • Needed to quickly pivot to implementing RAR 1.3 mid-project to ensure compliance

  • Able to continue to use Vistex to power their rebates program with seamless integration

  • Developed IP to enable CO-PA and RAR to provide all the profitability reports by RAR dimensions (Contract and POB) turning compliance to competitive advantage.

  • Enhanced the RAR functionality to deliver the Call-off order fulfilments

  • Go-live – We went live on SP03 – Implemented around 200+ notes and tested during the go-live and successfully went live.
